Let me take you on a quick tour of my life—no, not the glamorous Instagram version—the real one.
Firstly, Relationship Trauma and Yoga: I stumbled into yoga about four and a half years ago, thanks to an emotionally abusive ex. Real fun right? But guess what? Yoga helped me rebuild my strength and find inner peace. Every downward dog and meditation was a step away from that mess.
Secondly, Battling Depression: I've always been that person who could find a reason to be miserable in every situation. Smiling on the outside, dying inside. Sounds familiar? Well, yoga gave me a pill-free makeover. I battled depression and came out stronger and more balanced—without the antidepressants.
Last but not Least, Career Rollercoaster: From exporting goods to teaching scuba diving, managing coral productions, hopping among various positions on super yachts, and now running my own business—yoga was truly my survival kit. It taught me adaptability and resilience, even when life threw me from one job to the next faster than you can say 'namaste.'
Each of these stories isn't just about yoga; it’s about clarity, decision-making, and reconnecting with yourself in a world where distractions are just a notification away. Let’s face it, when I started yoga, I was a hot mess—rigid, self-doubting, unable to sit still. But over time, I transformed not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Without yoga, I’d still be that sad little girl in an abusive relationship, working hard but not smart, with no life purpose.
My transformation has inspired me to create a space for others to embark on their own self-discovery journey as well.
